Lectures
Evolution of an Art Quilter
This lecture takes us on a journey from my first quilt to my present work. I made my first quilt in 1989. This is a “trunk show ” with a selection of my actual quilts.
Ideas from Everyday
This slide lecture answers one of the frequently asked questions. Where do you get your ideas? I’ll show you where I get my inspiration. It comes from all parts of my life. I think you’ll start to look at everyday in a new way.

Workshops
Layering with Imagery
In this class we will be using non-toxic textile paints. We will play and explore various ways of making pattern and marks on fabric. We will use several different methods to apply these paints, such as brush, spatter, brayer, mono-print and block printing. We will also play with paintsticks. We will create one of a kind fabrics for use in art quilt construction. Participants will have the chance to carve their own images into flexible blocks for printing. Fabrics created in this workshop may be used for day 2.
Embellishment Galore
This is a class for exploring many different embellishment techniques, such as beading, couching, and embroidery. You will be surprised at what you can sew on to a “quilt”. We will use lots of beads, sequins, buttons, found objects, and anything else your imagination can come up with.
These workshops can be booked together as a two day workshop. Or booked individually.
